Jacinto Pérez grew up in San Diego and has spent his life dedicated to serving his community. A graduate of Mar Vista High School, Jacinto’s love of sports, particularly baseball, has never wavered.
When he wasn’t playing, he was coaching and managing teams from little league to high school. He is an excellent umpire and is in high demand for his accuracy and consistency.
Mr. Pérez is a respected leader in the community and currently serves as the Director of Community Relations and Health Plan Liaison for La Maestra Community Health Centers, a nonprofit organization based in San Diego, California, providing comprehensive health care services to diverse, low-income, and underserved communities since 1990.
In this role, Jacinto plays a key part in building partnerships, enhancing community engagement, and ensuring access to vital health services for under-served populations.
Before stepping into his current role, Jacinto was well known in local athletic circles as one of the best catchers in town. Renowned for his dependability, strong work ethic, and natural charisma, he earned a reputation both on and off the field as a team player and a community role model.
Mr. Pérez resides in Chula Vista with his 3 children. His passion for community, health advocacy, and family continue to shape his impactful work and presence in the region.
Jacinto Pérez was the head JV Baseball Coach at Mar Vista High School for 10 years. He began volunteering to be the public address announcer for the varsity baseball team games soon after arriving.
